Tree Removal
There are a multitude of reasons why the removal of a tree may be warranted: property and/or public safety, disease, decay or damage, landscape overcrowding, and landscape reconfiguration are all common reasons why clients want trees down. Regardless of reasoning, we can safely and efficiently remove any tree. Stump grinding can also be included with any tree removal. With education and experience in forestry, forest ecology and silviculture, we happily take on larger fire remediation and forest procurement projects as well.
Pruning and Trimming
Trees growing in urban environments need maintenance to thrive. Removing dead, diseased, and dying branches from a tree canopy is crucial for long term health and aesthetic value. Regular pruning reduces risk of future disease, corrects structural abnormalities, and prevents undesireable growth habit. Regular examination through pruning also gives an arborist a closer look at plant structure, which can aid in eliminating future problems and/or damage to the tree and surrounding property. Trimming can also be necessary in order to clear rights of way and structures.
Plant Health Care/Consulting
There are many pests and pathogens that affect woody plants--bacterial disease, viral disease, fungal disease and insect infestation are the most common ailments. Healthy trees are a valuable asset to every property and we have the expertise to keep these trees strong and sound. This tree care company is always up to date and knowlegeable about current pests and diseases that may be moving through our service area.
About
Trees are truly magnificent organisms, and arguably one of the most important living things on the planet. These plants are some of the most crucial assets contributing to small scale human health as well as large scale planetary ecological health. The socioeconomic and ecological importance of trees and forests cannot be overstated. As an arborist, my hope is to preserve and maintain Montana's wildland-urban interface to the best of my ability.
For as long as I can remember I have been fascinated with tree biology and genealogy. Countless hours were spent climbing trees in elementary school. Middle school brought interest in Montana's native forests through hunting, fishing, and camping excursions with friends and family. In high school, my first jobs were affiliated with the nursery industry, and I spent summers planting trees and familiarizing myself with the types of woody plants that grow well in Montana. Although college was originally supposed to set me up for a career in a legal or medical field, I couldn't seem to stay out of the forestry building.
After studying physical geography and forestry at the University of Montana, I decided that working in the private tree care industry would be the best way to incorporate all of my different passions and skills relating to tree growth and maintenance in urban environments. The first decade of my tree career was spent doing contract work for various tree care companies in western Montana. However, in 2020 I moved back to my hometown in order to establish my own business in the community that I am so thankful to have been raised in. My goal is to bring as much education, professionalism, and integrity as possible to the tree care industry in Helena, Montana.
